The race was held in September of 1960. It was the first race in Greece, with constant rain throughout. As a result, many of the contestants and judges stay in Athens. Specifically: Markomichaelakis, Kotsonis, Apostolides and Kanaroglou did not manage to come to the island. The strangest thing was in the case of Kotsonis, where his car came with the boat, but he did not manage to come. Among the unfortunate drivers were the US Embassy Officer, JOHN KINGSLEY. His car, a CHEVROLET CORVETTE, had reached Corfu without him.

From Corky's participation was Asonite, the famous "Tsoutsas" and "Erol Fly", with an old BMW CABRIO. But he quit after one exit, on the downhill of NAK.
Pesmazoglu won the 1960 championship as well as the Ascension Championship. In the Gastouri climbing, Raptopoulos was the first to DKW.
